For those who pay attention to Valentine’s Day (and thank god most people don’t), it tends to either soar or suck. Here’s my contribution for all the women who pay attention to it, but aren’t coupled and have never been married (especially those of us who are considered too old to still be waiting to walk down the aisle). Remember, the definition of a spinster is “an unmarried woman past the common age of marriage.” This makes spinsterhood an honor that little girls in their 20’s cannot share.
