Previous post on food & weight: Hurdle
I’m still fat, but in this photo I’m wearing pants that one of my neighbors shrank in a dryer a couple of years ago. I couldn’t begin to squeeze into them for a long time, but now they fit just fine!
Last April is when I started reducing in size. I was wearing size 22, but now I’m wearing size 16. But I’ve only lost seven pounds (3.2 kg) total. And I’ve weighed myself on my health practitioner’s scale as well as mine. She tells me this shows that in 2019 my body was extremely inflamed. I think it also shows I had almost no muscle mass.
This proves to me that once a woman hits midde age, her body stops functioning in the expected ways it used to. It does weird things with weight and body size. The medical community should be fascinated by these almost supernatural changes, but instead they mostly ignore us middle-aged women.

Haha! I couldn't agree with you more. My body's metabolism has slowed down so much I feel like it's one of those living statues in Paris. No matter how hard you try, you can't make it move. My conclusion is that this is both the beauty and horror of mother nature. There's something in our cells telling itself it's time to slow down, just when we're at a phase in our life where we want to eat more. Even with these factors, I do find that certain foods sit better with me than others. So don't give up on being and eating "healthy"…that is foods that agree with your body. It's a process, but you will find it. Sorry, I'm being positive. 🙂
